In 2025 Friends of PIR partnered with local youth groups to experience the Rose Cup Races for the first time and along with OMSI had a fun STEM summer camp at Portland International Raceway. We plan to make a stronger impact in 2026!
There are many options to support FOPIR including:
- Online financial donation: The Friends of PIR website is the easiest way to make a recurring or one-time donation. Proceeds go to support projects like the ones described above.
- Employer matching: Many companies offer dollar-for-dollar matching.
- IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution: If you are 70 ½ years old with IRA funds you no longer need, please consider a donation to FOPIR. If you are 73 years old or older, your QCD can count towards your required minimum distribution (RMD)! Your QCD goes directly to Friends of PIR, supporting a cause you care about.
